Bound autograph manuscript contemporary copy of the will of Francis Egerton, Duke of Bridgewater, founder of British inland navigation and coal mine owner, dated January 28, 1803, in an unidentified hand. Includes two codicils of the same date, and a third undated codicil. The copy was made for the use of the steward of the courts of Brackley and King's Sutton. Unsigned manuscript notes in the hand of the unidentified steward regarding the contents and history of the copy of the will on front endpaper and leaf 116.
